A Peek Behind the Curtain

There are a dozen-plus elements that set F10 Marketing apart and make it an easy choice for any company that can’t yet afford a full-blown Marketing Department or pricey agency.

For competitive reasons (ours and yours as a customer using F10) we can’t spill the beans too blatantly here yet. But we do want to draw your attention to a few of the legumes we are most proud of. And we’ll share the vignette of F10’s origins, as that will help you appreciate the reliability, implementability, and pedigree of the approach.

First, the bullet points list of why F10 Marketing is like no other solution out there.

Lastly for this post, a quick word on F10’s origins and founders: Yunxiao’s and Ian’s experiences go back way further than either care to admit. And their combined learnings, plus how they came to meet each other a decade-plus ago, will help you understand why and how F10 Marketing came to be.

Yunxiao’s PhD and lower degrees were all about Data Management, Information Security, and Statistical Analysis. Decades at Publicis (the world’s largest Ad Agency) and Nielsen (the worlds’ largest data consultant and syndicated data provider) taught him how to put this to good use.  His last decade meanwhile has been devoted to AI development and implementation (enjoyed within smaller, nimbler tech and consulting companies) — meaning that he’s got his finger on the pulse and direction of where AI is going, and how to use it properly. Now combine his story with Ian’s.

Ian’s a US Navy vet, who did cryptography and Russian government “stuff” before he left the service for business school across the pond in London. There he studied Marketing and came to realize that private-sector data analytics very much looked like cryptography — an epiphany that helped him rise to run several of the world’s largest brands.  After a while with Altria (the world’s largest Consumer Goods company at the time) he joined IRI, and then Nielsen before entering the world of entrepreneurship, where he started and sold 2 Consumer Goods companies. So he’s deep in high-level and hands-dirty marketing strategy, built for budgets from $1 thousand to $1 billion.

You may have caught the overlaps. Yunxiao and Ian both lived both Blue Chip and Startup lives, and they met at Nielsen, where together they did some awesome stuff for a half dozen mega-manufacturers and retailers. But more inspiring, along their shared and separate ways, both came to realize that with the right approach and tools, the Bootstrapping Startup actually CAN compete with the Big-Boy-Blue Chips.
